Our Story
FROM ONE EXTREME TO THE OTHER.
When the idea for JUNGLÜCK came about, Benedikt Klarmann still had a successful online printing company, drove a big car and flew around the world. At home, he overheard conversations between his mother and his wife, who were unhappy with their cosmetic products. And he started to think about what could be done better. So he began to want to change not only the cosmetics market, but above all his own way of thinking and behaving.
IN THE BEGINNING THERE WAS A LOT OF LEARNING.
About the cosmetics industry, about our environment and about himself. After Benedikt was able to see with his own eyes on his travels the incredible exploitation of nature that we humans carry out and how carelessly its resources are treated, he became increasingly aware that this cannot continue.
That's why at the beginning of JUNGLÜCK the main question was what our new cosmetics brand should be. It was immediately clear: as sustainable as possible. From the very beginning, we put sustainability on an equal footing with profitability. Even though we knew that with increasing climate awareness, we would still have to make many compromises here.
Benedikt then acquired the necessary specialist knowledge with the help of experts from the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and medical sectors and looked for producers and manufacturers. The first products where he concentrated purely on tolerability and effectiveness were the aloe vera gel, the vitamin C serum and the hyaluronic concentrate.
THE DEMAND FOR PURE, SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTS WAS QUICKLY GREAT.
After the first attempts to sell online, the initial response was very positive. The demand for pure and sustainable care products was great. So great that Benedikt sold his printing company so that he could devote himself entirely to the development of JUNGLÜCK.
By the way: The name JUNGLÜCK was born out of a feeling that was meant to express how our products make you feel: young and completely happy. The name should be German to show where our roots are.
We now make many more people than just Benedikt's mom and his wife happy with over 45 pure and natural products - from facial care to hand soap and shampoo to our baby products.
TRUE ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT.
Founder Benedikt Klarmann was born in 1987, recently became father of a son and started small businesses at the age of 14. At 18, he founded his own online printing company and since 2018 he has been leading JUNGLÜCK into a more sustainable future.
“With JUNGLÜCK I wanted to develop a skincare range that makes people happy. With pure and natural products and a fundamentally sustainable awareness.”

THE ROUTE IS THE GOAL.
If you start a company today that is supposed to be sustainable and still want to meet increased demand, it gets complicated. The market is shared by a few companies. It is often difficult to concentrate on the essentials in the procurement process and in production while observing all legal requirements.
Precisely because it is so important to us to know our suppliers exactly, to know how our ingredients are produced and under what conditions. This is our greatest challenge, which constantly requires us to make compromises, but at the same time drives us to keep going.
It started with the fact that most cosmetics are bottled in plastic. It took us quite a while to find a partner with whom we could bottle all of our products in recycled brown glass. We now get our glass bottles directly from a glassworks in Italy.
WHERE THE TRIP SHOULD GO.
Our goal is and will remain, in the long term, to close the circle at some point. We want to work with transparent, responsible manufacturers, we want to source our natural ingredients from controlled organic cultivation. We want to give local suppliers the chance to contribute to something big.
And we want to encourage people to think differently. Both in ourselves, in the procurement process and of course in you too. Because we believe that you can contribute to a more sustainable life with your daily care. A path that we are just beginning and on which you are accompanying us with so much positive feedback.
