Skin condition Dehydrated skin

WHAT IS DEHYDRATED SKIN?

Dehydrated skin is often attributed to dry skin. While dry skin is a genetic skin type, dehydrated skin is a temporary condition that is caused by too little water in the skin and is exacerbated by external influences. The reason for this is usually a damaged, porous skin barrier that promotes the evaporation of moisture. This makes the skin fine-pored, thin and gives you a flaky or rough skin feeling.

TIPS FOR YOUR DEHYDRATED SKIN

1. TIP: EXFOLIATE FIRST, THEN MOISTURIZE

It is important that your care product penetrates deep into the skin. A regular, non-mechanical peeling such as the AHA peeling is therefore ideal. It removes dead cells and calluses so that the hyaluronic acid concentrate, for example, can be better absorbed.

2. TIP: APPLY HYALURONIC ACID TO DAMP SKIN.

To ensure that water molecules can bind directly to the surface of the skin, apply the hyaluronic acid concentrate to damp skin. This way it penetrates deep into the skin. Then use the jojoba oil to effectively retain moisture.

3. TIP: DRINK ENOUGH.

You should provide your dehydrated skin with sufficient moisture not only from the outside but also from the inside. Therefore, drink 2-3 liters of water or unsweetened tea every day. You will be amazed at how quickly you feel an effect - without even applying cream.

4. TIP: USE UV PROTECTION.

Dehydrated skin usually suffers from an already compromised skin barrier. Therefore, avoid further damage and use a sunscreen every day, such as in our sun cream , with at least SPF 30.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT DEHYDRATED SKIN

YOUR SKIN WANTS ONE THING ABOVE ALL: MORE MOISTURE

The skin condition of dehydrated skin is often not that easy to recognize. To be sure that you have this skin condition, you can do a little test. Moisturize your skin a lot for a few days. If it then feels better, then it was most likely dehydrated.

The cause of dehydrated skin is often a damaged, leaky skin barrier. This means that moisture can no longer be stored well in your skin. This condition is usually triggered and exacerbated by external influences such as the climate, your diet or hormonal fluctuations.

Your skin wants one thing above all else: lots of moisture and support to retain it. Hyaluron helps your skin exactly where it needs it. An oil like our almond oil also protects your skin for the long term and increases the effect of your moisturizer.

LEARN MORE ABOUT YOUR SKIN TYPE

Every skin condition is preceded by a skin type. While your skin condition is variable and can change, your skin type is more of a genetic predisposition.

Although dehydrated skin is often confused with dry skin, these skin conditions and types do not necessarily occur together. Dehydrated skin can even be part of an oily skin type. In the combination, an extra amount of sebum is usually produced to compensate for the lack of moisture.

In order to understand your skin, it is important that you know your skin type in addition to your skin condition in order to be able to fully respond to your skin's needs.
