Active ingredient hyaluronic acid
IF YOU HAVEN’T NOTICED: WE LOVE HYALURONIC ACID!
And that goes right down to the smallest molecules. Because they are responsible for taking valuable moisture into your skin, keeping it there and thus providing it with the best long-term care. When your skin is full of moisture, small wrinkles and lines are plumped up, redness is reduced and dryness is balanced out. Would you like to know more? Then read on!
WHAT IS HYALURONIC ACID?
Hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide and consists of a long chain of repeating disaccharide building blocks. A hyaluronic acid chain can consist of up to 50,000 of these building blocks. The individual chains attract each other and form a tight network. Like a kind of sponge, hyaluronic acid is able to bind and store large amounts of water.
Our body uses this property to produce hyaluronic acid itself and to use it precisely where a lot of water needs to be retained, for example in the eyes or in the joints. Most of all, however, in the spaces between the cells in the skin. Here it forms a gel-like matrix in the dermis in which collagen fibers and fibroblasts are embedded. Together with these proteins, hyaluronic acid is responsible for structure and elasticity.
HOW DOES HYALURONIC ACID WORK?
Hyaluronic acid supplies your skin with moisture right down to the deeper layers and stores the water in so-called moisture depots. This is why the skin appears plump and smooth. Thanks to the optimal moisture supply, the cells can be supplied with important nutrients and waste products can be efficiently removed. This is also the reason why hyaluronic acid has an anti-inflammatory effect and prevents blemishes. In addition, the depots act like a natural protective shield and make your skin resistant to external influences such as UV radiation, environmental toxins or mechanical stimuli.
HOW HYALURONIC ACTS ON THE SKIN
When applied, hyaluronic acid is absorbed into the uppermost cell layers and the skin is thus supplied with moisture. Your skin regains volume, appears firmer and wrinkles are reduced. However, not all hyaluronic acids are the same, as they differ in their molecular size. Long-chain hyaluronic acids (1500 kD) form a moisturizing film on the surface of the skin. This prevents the skin's own water from evaporating quickly and thus increases the skin's hydration. Short-chain hyaluronic acids (50 kD) and oligohyaluronic acids (3 kD) are stored in the connective tissue over the long term and ensure a sustainable supply of moisture.
MOISTURIZE
Thanks to its tight-meshed, chain-like structure, hyaluronic acid transports valuable moisture into the deeper layers of your skin.
STORING WATER
Just like a sponge, hyaluronic acid can bind large amounts of water and store it in its moisture depots.
PROTECT SKIN
The moisture deposits act like a natural protective shield and make your skin resilient and keep it in tact.
PLUMPING AND SMOOTHING
Hyaluronic acid is absorbed into the uppermost layers of cells. This gives your skin more volume, makes it firmer and reduces wrinkles.

Hyaluron gives you valuable moisture and a fresh complexion. With our light hyaluronic concentrate you nourish your skin and help it transport other active ingredients directly into the deeper layers of the skin.
To balance your moisture levels, we use 1.4% hyaluronic acid in a balanced mixture of three molecule sizes (high, medium and low molecular weight). The smaller the molecule, the deeper it can penetrate into the skin and develop its water-retaining effect. Together with aloe vera, hyaluronic acid can gradually plump up small lines and wrinkles. Feel free to use our hyaluronic concentrate in a variety of ways and regularly, as your skin always appreciates additional moisture. Combine it directly with a serum and transport the good active ingredients deep into your skin.
WHO IS HYALURON SUITABLE FOR?
Combinability & Interactions
Hyaluron is beneficial for every skin type because it helps your skin to absorb and retain moisture. Above all, it is so skin-friendly that you can easily combine it with other active ingredients. It helps your skin to transport other active ingredients even better into the deeper layers, thus enhancing their effect.
WHERE DOES OUR ACTIVE INGREDIENT COME FROM?
Hyaluronic acid is produced through bacterial fermentation. The starting material for the fermentation is wheat. The substance is purified through several filtration steps and then dried. Fermentation is generally understood to mean the conversion of organic substances by the addition of microorganisms or enzymes.
