ACTIVE INGREDIENT
VITAMIN C
THERE'S SO MUCH GOOD IN HERE
Not only does our entire organism benefit from the most well-known vitamin, but our skin also benefits from the vitamin boost. In addition to a firming and regenerating effect, vitamin C also has a direct influence on your skin: it lightens pigment spots and acne scars and, as an effective antioxidant, ensures a naturally radiant complexion. Find out exactly how much goodness vitamin C can do for you here.
WHAT IS VITAMIN C?
Vitamin C or ascorbic acid is one of the water-soluble vitamins and is involved in many metabolic processes in the body. It is used, among other things, to build connective tissue, bones and teeth. Vitamin C serves as a so-called essential cofactor for the enzymes involved. Its stimulating effect on the formation of elastin, fibronectin and proteoglycan is particularly relevant for our skin. This is precisely how vitamin C ensures healthy and firm connective tissue.
Vitamin C also influences the concentration of hyaluronic acid. Its protective function inhibits the breakdown of hyaluronic acid, which can be triggered by inflammatory processes or an acidic environment. The antioxidant effect intercepts harmful compounds such as free radicals and reactive oxygen species and weakens negative processes.
HOW DOES VITAMIN C WORK?
Vitamin C is one of the best-known antioxidants. And thanks to its antioxidant effect, it protects the skin from free radicals. Vitamin C intercepts these like a shield, protecting your skin from damage and strengthening its protective barrier. Thanks to its antioxidant effect and by stimulating collagen production, the active ingredient strengthens and stabilizes our collagen structure and ensures elastic, healthy connective tissue. Micro-inflammations, which are a major factor in the development of blemishes, pimples and acne, are effectively reduced by vitamin C. The anti-inflammatory properties refine the skin's appearance, relieve redness and ensure rapid wound healing. Studies also show that vitamin C inhibits the excessive production of melanin in the skin and thus prevents the formation of pigment spots. At the same time, existing hyperpigmentation is lightened. The skin radiates and appears healthier and more even.
WHAT IS THE BEST FORM OF VITAMIN C?
The pure form of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is very unstable when in contact with air and light. Our vitamin C ampoules are therefore filled airtight and protected from light. As the individual doses are consumed directly, they do not require any additional excipients. The use of vitamin C derivatives in skin care products ensures that the active ingredient is more stable for longer. In contrast to pure vitamin C, the derivatives do not have to be used in formulations with a strongly acidic pH value of 3.0-3.5. In our vitamin C serums, we have therefore opted for the stabilized forms of the derivative Acorbyl Glucoside in the Sensitive Serum and 3-0 Ethyl Acorbic Acid in our Intensive Serum. These forms also work in the less acidic pH skin-neutral range, which also makes them more tolerable.
NATURAL RADIANCE
The anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and regenerating effects of vitamin C make the skin smoother, finer and evens out the complexion.
SMOOTHING AND REGENERATING
Due to its antioxidant effect and stimulated collagen production, vitamin C strengthens and stabilizes our collagen structure and ensures elastic, healthy connective tissue.
LIGHTEN STAINS AND Stains
Vitamin C inhibits excessive melanin production and thus prevents the formation of pigment spots, lightens existing ones and gives your skin a natural glow.
INHIBITS INFLAMMATION
Micro-inflammations, which are significantly involved in the development of blemishes, pimples and also acne, are effectively reduced by vitamin C.

Our Vitamin C Sensitive Serum with 5% of the stable and very well-tolerated derivative Ascorbyl Glucoside is the ideal serum for your introduction to active ingredient cosmetics with vitamin C. It evens out your complexion, reduces redness and gives your skin a naturally fresh appearance.
The stable derivative Ascorbyl Glucoside is a mild, stabilized form of vitamin C and is gradually converted into active ascorbic acid directly in the skin. This means that it works throughout the day, rather than releasing its full effect all at once. Ascorbyl Glucoside is antioxidant and protects against light-induced skin aging - for a radiant complexion. In addition, the extract from Indian pennywort (Centella Asiatica, or Cica for short) has an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect. It reduces pimple marks and patchy redness, for example on the nose and cheeks, for an even complexion. The amino acid arginine makes the skin soft and supple.

Our Vitamin C Intensive Serum with 10% vitamin C in a stabilized form is perfect for anyone who already has experience with the active ingredient vitamin C. It reduces pigment spots and acne scars, prevents light-induced skin aging and ensures radiant, smooth skin.
With 10% ethyl ascorbic acid, the Vitamin C Intensive Serum is particularly suitable for lightening pigment spots and acne scars. Mature skin in particular will appreciate the serum's strong well-aging effect. Ethyl ascorbic acid gradually lightens skin discoloration and, as a powerful antioxidant, protects against free radicals and oxidative stress. It stimulates collagen production, which smoothes fine lines and wrinkles. The licorice root extract from controlled organic cultivation has an anti-inflammatory effect and is also a strong antioxidant and lightening agent. The amino acid arginine PCA helps the skin to retain moisture and strengthens the skin barrier with pyrrolidone carboxylic acid (PCA).
WHO IS VITAMIN C SUITABLE FOR?
Which vitamin C intensity is right for you?
If you have little or no experience with active ingredients or if your skin is generally sensitive, then the Vitamin C Sensitive Serum is exactly the right choice for you and your skin.
If you have been using vitamin C products for some time, even in higher concentrations, and would like more active ingredient intensity for everyday use, then our Vitamin C Intensive Serum with 10% Ethyl Ascorbic Acid is perfect for you.
You get the full power of the active ingredients with our vitamin C ampoules with 15% pure L-ascorbic acid. They are the right choice for you if your skin already has experience with highly concentrated active ingredients and you would prefer the extra portion of effect on 2-3 evenings a week rather than in your daily routine.
Combinability & Interactions
Vitamin C is suitable for the care of all skin types. Only people with very sensitive or irritated skin should make sure to use skin-friendly vitamin C derivatives.
Vitamin C is most effective in serums, creams and sunscreens. Your skin needs antioxidant protection, especially during the day, to protect itself from UV radiation. In combination with sunscreen, it can even slow down skin aging. But even those who already have the first signs of sun-related skin aging, such as wrinkles, fine lines and hyperpigmentation, can use products with vitamin C to strengthen the skin and maintain an even complexion.
WHERE DOES OUR ACTIVE INGREDIENT COME FROM?
The stable vitamin C derivative Acorbyl Glucoside in our Sensitive Serum is produced by enzymatic fermentation. Corn or potato starch is used as the starting material for the fermentation. Fermentation is generally understood to mean the conversion of organic substances by adding microorganisms or enzymes.
