Skin type combination skin
WHAT IS COMBINATION SKIN?
Your skin is actually a mixture of two skin types. If we assume balanced skin, combination skin, as its name suggests, consists of a combination. It is usually the case that the T-zone tends to have what is known as seborrhoea, i.e. an overproduction of sebum. On the other hand, too little sebum is produced on the cheeks and sometimes in the area around the eyes. This means that your skin dries out in particular there. You can find out how to give your combination skin the right care on this page.
Skin condition:
Your skin has a rather shiny T-zone and sides that are balanced to dry.
Skin structure & pores:
On your forehead, nose and chin, your skin tends to have larger pores, blackheads and the occasional pimple. The cheek and eye area tends to be dry, sometimes even with flaky patches.
COMPLEXION:
Your complexion appears unbalanced, shows more redness in the T-zone and appears rather pale in the cheek area.
SPECIAL FEATURE:
Your skin essentially consists of two skin types. That's why it's important to care for each area according to its needs.
1. Tip: Cleanse your skin gently.
Do not use aggressive cleaning products. You can use a mild cleanser like our cleansing gel for both areas of your skin. Supplement your routine 1-2 evenings a week with the BHA peeling.
2nd tip: Treat oily and dry areas differently.
A little extra effort is worth it here. Depending on how different your two skin conditions are, you will care for the oily T-zone differently than the dry cheeks. Jojoba oil, for example, is suitable for both
3. Tip: Avoid heavy creams.
When it comes to skin care, make sure you use products that are as light as possible, such as our aloe vera gel. To ensure that your cheek area gets enough lipids, you can also treat this area with a richer cream such as the retinal cream .
4. Tip: Use sufficient UV protection.
No matter how you react to the sun, UV protection is essential for your facial skin. UV rays reach your skin especially in summer, but also in winter. It is therefore best to use an SPF of at least 30, like our sun cream .
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT COMBINATION SKIN
YOUR SKIN NEEDS MORE ATTENTION
Combination skin is actually the most common skin type. The causes are varied and depend on your genes, hormones and lifestyle. The older you get, the more your skin tends to become drier, especially on your cheeks and around the eyes.Good news: With the right and, above all, targeted care, you can balance your skin. It is important that you recognize the mixed condition exactly and find the right products and active ingredients for you. For example, retinol is particularly effective on areas of the face that are prone to blemishes and helps to regenerate your skin. Hyaluronic acid, with its water-binding properties, is also an ideal source of moisture, especially for the dry areas of your face.
WHAT CONDITION IS YOUR SKIN IN?
Do you have combination skin and it is reacting unusually at the moment? That's normal, because your skin goes through everything that you do all day long. Skin types themselves are mainly genetic and usually also have a skin condition. Each skin type has different needs. For example, you may have dehydrated, sensitive or mature combination skin.
Whether it's a change in the weather, stress, getting older, hormones, a change in diet - the reasons for a change in the condition of your skin are varied, but easy to get under control if you know the cause.
