Our packaging
We also place the highest demands on our packaging. We generally try to source our packaging materials from Europe. In the vast majority of cases, we succeed. That's why we always check carefully with new manufacturers. For paper products, our goal is that they can show at least one FSC label. Our brown glass bottles are filled at two production sites in Germany and shipped to you from our warehouse in Rhineland-Palatinate.
We avoid any form of plastic in our shipping boxes thanks to a special locking mechanism. They are therefore 100% recyclable. The cardboard boxes manufactured in Germany are made from recycled fibers and bear the FSC Mix seal.
The envelope that we wrap around your products to protect them is made of 100% recycled paper and has the FSC Recycled seal and the Blue Angel.
The spruce wood from which our wood wool is obtained comes from FSC or PEFC certified forests in Thuringia and Hesse. Since the wood wool is untreated, you can safely dispose of it in organic waste.
Our stickers are made from virgin fiber paper.
Our amber glass bottles are mostly made in Italy. In some cases, however, we also source glass bottles and jars from Asia. Depending on the batch, our bottles contain 40-50% recycled glass.
The fibers for our product packaging come from northern European forests. They are printed in Hungary and transported to us by road.
OUR SHIPPING BOXES ARE MANUFACTURED CLIMATE-NEUTRALLY
As an online shop, we are aware that by shipping to your home we are contributing to an increased amount of paper. In order to burden the environment as little as possible, our shipping boxes are not only completely plastic-free, but also manufactured with minimal emissions. We compensate for the greenhouse gas emissions that are unfortunately unavoidable during production through the "Marine Protection" climate protection project in Haiti, Indonesia, Brazil and the Philippines. Plastic waste is a global problem and we want to work to rid our oceans of plastic and to put as little of it into circulation as possible ourselves.
