Young skin
WHAT IS YOUNG SKIN?
We refer to young skin as the skin of people aged between 12 and 18. Young skin is particularly characterized by its even, resilient complexion and its ability to regenerate quickly. Basically, all four skin types can occur in young skin. And all skin types actually have something to do with puberty and the body's hormonal changes. Despite balanced sebum production and an ideal moisture balance, your skin can tend to become oily and acne-prone during puberty. Your skin now needs mild products that still clean thoroughly.
HOW DO YOU CARE FOR YOUR YOUNG SKIN?
Hormonal changes can disrupt the balance of your skin during puberty, as the activity of your sebaceous glands is controlled by hormones. Even if that may be little consolation, 85% of all adolescents struggle with blemishes on their face, back, shoulders and chest during puberty. And for most of them, this skin condition disappears again. So, there is no reason to despair, there are really good tips that you can use to support your skin during this time.
Tip 1: Cleanse your skin thoroughly but gently
Use mild products in the morning and evening to protect your skin's acid mantle. Cleanse your skin with lukewarm water and our cleansing gel . It gently and thoroughly removes dirt and deposits from your skin.
Tip 2: Avoid comedogenic products.
Avoid products that could clog your pores and have a strong greasy effect. Instead, it is best to use a light moisturizer, such as our Hyaluron Day Cream .
Tip 3: Don’t touch your face.
We know it's hard, but keep your hands off pimples and blackheads. Squeezing them can lead to severe inflammation. Alternatively, you can seek help from a beauty salon and have your skin cleansed there.
Tip 4: SOS tip against pimples
Zinc oxide and blue chamomile oil are our natural answer to unwanted pimples. Whether it's occasional blemishes or persistent acne. Our pimple paste has an anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effect.

HOW DO PIMPLES FORM?
We've all experienced it: you're planning something and just in time a huge pimple appears on your face. Great! But how do pimples actually form? Excessive sebum production means that the sebum can no longer drain properly and a blackhead forms. This mixture of dead skin cells and sebum clogs the pore and is a breeding ground for bacteria, which leads to inflammation. The area around the clogged pore swells, turns red and voilà, the pimple is there!
