Ceramide Serum

Our creamy Ceramide Serum strengthens the skin barrier, nourishes with the body's own lipids and soothes irritated skin and skin prone to neurodermatitis.

Ceramides are a central component of our uppermost skin layer and make up to 60% of the lipids in the skin barrier. They keep moisture in the skin, protect against environmental influences and prevent drying out. If this protective function is impaired by external influences, the skin can dry out and no longer produce enough ceramides, which manifests itself in irritated skin, dry and cracked areas, a feeling of tightness and itching.

In our Ceramide Serum we use 5 of the most important types of ceramide to build up your skin barrier, strengthen it sustainably and soothe irritated, reddened areas. In addition to the direct ceramides, we also use the ceramide precursors phospholipids and sphingolipids. They are building blocks of the cell membrane in our skin cells and help your body as a starting material in the formation of new ceramides. Sodium PCA is an important component of the skin's own humectants (natural moisturizing factors) and helps to bind water and thus protect your skin from moisture loss.

The question here is: What do you want to achieve with your skincare routine? Products rich in active ingredients specifically address your individual skin needs. You can use most serums daily, while peelings, masks and ampoules are more of a supplement to your routine.

HOW TO USE THE CERAMIDE SERUM
It is best to use the Ceramide Serum in the morning and/or evening after your toner. If you use other serums, then use the Ceramide Serum as the last serum, as it is a fatty product and would otherwise prevent water-based serums from being properly absorbed. To do this, use the pipette to add around 2-3 drops to your fingertips and massage it in from the center of the face outwards with gentle movements. Concentrate particularly on the areas where you have dry or irritated areas.
