HOW THE RETINAL SENSITIVE SERUM WORKS
In our retinal sensitive serum, we use the first biotechnologically derived Retinal. With 0.1% liposomally encapsulated Retinal, it is highly effective and very well tolerated. Retinal is almost a shortcut to your skin, as it only needs one conversion step to become retinoic acid in the skin. It stimulates the skin's own collagen synthesis while inhibiting the enzyme responsible for collagen breakdown. As a result, the collagen framework is gradually rebuilt, and lines and wrinkles are filled and smoothed. Even for acne scars or rough skin texture, Retinal visibly refines the skin. For blemish-prone skin, Retinal has another positive effect as it regulates sebum production and counteracts clogged pores and pimples. 

The Retinal in our retinal sensitive serum is additionally liposomally encapsulated. Liposomes, which are double-walled capsules made of hydrophilic and lipophilic particles, resemble the structure of the cell membrane of our skin cells. Inside these capsules, Retinal is transported deep into the skin. This allows the active ingredient to be absorbed more effectively and gently. Bio-blueberry extract also contains many valuable antioxidants and has a high vitamin C content. This makes it anti-inflammatory and soothing to the skin. It not only protects your skin from oxidative stress but also stabilizes the oxidation-sensitive Retinal. 

YOUR INTRODUCTION TO CARE WITH RETINAL
If you have no or only minimal experience with active Vitamin A ingredients, we recommend starting with only one Retinal product. Introduce the new active ingredient slowly so that your skin can get used to it. Give it at least 6 weeks, as our skin has a renewal cycle of 28 days. If you tolerate Retinal well during this time, you can combine the retinal sensitive serum and the Retinal Cream for maximum results. We advise against combining with other Retinol or Retinal products, as you should always consider the total concentration you are applying to your skin. 

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RETINAL AND RETINOL?
Retinal is not a typo but is actually more effective than Retinol as an active ingredient. Retinol is first converted to Retinal in the skin before it becomes the pure form of Vitamin A. Retinal only requires one conversion step for this. Therefore, it works stronger and faster than Retinol and is also considered more tolerable, as less Retinal than Retinol is needed for the same effect. This avoids the accumulation of the active ingredient in the skin, which can cause irritation.

HOW TO APPLY THE RETINAL SENSITIV SERUM
Apply 2-3 drops of the retinal sensitive serum to your face, neck, and décolleté in the evening after cleansing, depending on the acclimatization phase, and gently massage it in.

For very sensitive skin, we recommend that you first acclimate your skin to the retinal cream before using the serum.

If your skin tolerates retinal well in all phases, you can also combine the retinal cream and the retinal sensitive serum for maximum results. We advise against combining with other retinol or retinal products, as it is important to consider the total concentration that you are applying to your skin.
