WRINKLES ARE NATURAL. SO IS OUR RETINAL.
THE FIRST 100% NATURAL RETINAL
That's right: you didn't read it wrong. We have two new products for you with RETINAL. For the first time, it comes from a 100% purely natural, bio-technological source, extracted from a retinal-producing bacterial culture by fermentation. This makes our retinal the most natural, but also the most effective over-the-counter retinoid on the current cosmetics market.
Is your skin changing? With our Retinal Cream and Retinal Sensitive Serum, we make it easy for you to get started with well-aging care, while also being particularly well tolerated. Keep your smooth and firm skin and simply age even more beautifully.
BALANCED CARE FOR THE FIRST SIGNS OF SKIN AGING
Our retinal cream with the first 100% natural retinal is the perfect and gentlest introduction to well-aging care. Whether you are just discovering the first signs of skin aging or are already in the middle of it: the regenerating cream effectively reduces lines and wrinkles and ensures a noticeably finer and softer skin structure without unnecessarily stressing your skin with the active ingredients. Thanks to its medium richness, it is quickly absorbed and leaves a pleasantly light protective film.
EFFECTIVELY REDUCES LINES AND WRINKLES
Our Retinal Sensitive Serum with the first 100% natural and encapsulated retinal effectively reduces lines and wrinkles and ensures a visibly finer and more even complexion. Thanks to the encapsulation technology used, it is particularly gentle on the skin and ideal for starting your well-aging care with vitamin A.
Every retinoid needs a little time to convert to retinoic acid in the skin. The longer a retinoid stays in the skin, the higher the irritation potential. Retinal only needs one step to become active. This means that retinal works faster than the most well-known retinoid to date, retinol.
Retinal definitely has the best properties of vitamin A: It stimulates collagen synthesis, increases the elasticity of your skin and noticeably smoothes wrinkles and lines. Retinal works faster and more gently into the deeper layers of the skin and at the same time protects your skin from irritation. This is why both products are also suitable for sensitive skin.
Since retinal is converted directly into retinoic acid outside of the cell cycle, it has less time to cause irritation. Retinol, in comparison, accumulates in the skin and is first converted into retinal and then into retinoic acid, thus remaining in the skin longer. For even better tolerability, the retinal in our Sensitive Serum is liposomally encapsulated.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RETINAL AND RETINOL?
YOUR INTRODUCTION TO CARE WITH RETINAL
If you have no or only initial experience with active vitamin A ingredients, we recommend that you start with just one retinal product, preferably the cream. Slowly introduce the new ingredient so that your skin can get used to it. Give it enough time, because our skin also has a renewal cycle of 28 days. If you tolerate retinal well during this time, you can also combine the Retinal Sensitive Serum and the Retinal Cream with each other - for maximum results. We advise against combining with other retinol or retinal products, as you should definitely pay attention to the total concentration. Detailed recommendations for use can also be found on the respective product pages.
HOW DO I RECOGNIZE NATURAL RETINAL IN THE INCIS?
In fact, it is not possible to tell from the ingredient list whether the retinal used is of natural or synthetic origin. The INCI (internationally standardized ingredient name) is always 'retinal'. Until recently, however, the origin of retinoids (retinal, retinol and retinyl ester) was exclusively synthetic. So it is always worth asking.
Our retinal is obtained biotechnologically using Halobacterium salinarum, a microorganism known for producing only retinal. The retinal resulting from this natural process is then extracted from the biomass by fermentation. The special feature of this retinal is that it has a very high degree of purity, as only retinal is produced and no other retinoids are produced as byproducts. This is why you will only find retinal in our INCIs.
